Review:

I really enjoyed Dirty Little Secrets, the first book in the series, so I was very excited for the second instalment. The bonus too is that these books are based in my hometown which makes it that much more interesting!  The intriguing description left me wanting answers so I couldn’t wait to delve into this book and I made sure I did this blind so I could experience everything!

The prologue definitely caught my attention, the author did a fantastic job at using this to grab the reader’s attention. I connected with the writing style instantly but there was no doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t. I loved how the author used short, snappy chapters this resulted in the story being quite pacey and as a result, had me often saying to myself ‘just one more chapter.’

It really didn’t take long at all for this story to get its hooks into me, I was gripped from start to finish. I like how there were references to book one, but Jonathan has also cleverly made this so that it could be read as a stand-alone too.

I really enjoyed the well thought out plot and I could picture everything Jonathan was writing; he really did create some imagery in my head. This was a perfect escape from reality I was completely absorbed. There are also some hard-hitting subjects in this read but the author touched on those sensitively and did a very good job at raising awareness of these matters.

This was a real page turned for me and I really can not wait for book 3!
